A Bit About Us
Kanyes helped secure multi-million dollar deals at Snorkel AI and wrote motion algorithms at Matic Robots. He ran a streetwear arbitrage operation out of his sophomore year apartment. Shalin was one of Matic’s most prolific designers and engineers, built an app for the blind in high school with > 3 million users, and has been building products for the last 15 years. He interned at MakeSchool (W12) in 2013 and Wit.ai (W14) in 2014 when he was in middle school.
They’ve been best friends since their first day at Cal, and have built dozens of projects between them — tools for researchers to virtual worlds to campus assistants to meme apps. They were roommates and coworkers at Matic Robots in Mountain View, where they helped lead the team. Shalin will never let Kanyes forget that he scored 10 points higher than him on the SAT.
