TL;DR
Palmier Pro is a video editor built for AI, where Claude and Codex can edit your timeline directly: trimming, reordering, and generating footage. We used it to make 15+ cinematic AI launch videos for YC companies and it's now open-source and free to download at palmier.io.

The Problem
Making AI videos today means bouncing between tools constantly.
Generation.

• You generate a clip in Runway or Higgsfield, import it into Premiere, realize one section doesn't work, go back to the generation tool, regenerate, reimport. That loop repeats dozens of times per video.

Iteration.

• Because generation and editing live in separate apps, your workspace is a mess and it becomes extremely hard to keep track of good takes, bad takes, reference images, and reference videos.

Repetition.

• You still spend hours sorting through footage, finding the right takes, and manually adding keyframes, effects, and captions. It eats into your productivity and leaves you with less time for the actual creative work.

Our Solution
We built a full-fledged professional video editor with two things in mind.

We made AI video a primitive, not an add-on. For each clip, we track the prompt, model, and references so you can iterate directly inside the timeline instead of bouncing between apps.

We made everything operable by AI. By using our built-in agent, or connecting to yours via MCP, AI agents can help:

• Save hours of work by automating the grunt work in editing: finding key moments in long videos, captions, file organization, and more.
• Create first draft edits from your footage. The tools let AI understand your videos and draft a first cut directly in the timeline.
• Use AI generation models to create footage, b-roll, sound effects, voiceovers, and music and drop it directly into your project.
