Playabl.ai is the TikTok of user-generated games, where anyone can play, create, publish, and monetize games.

In our first 5 days of launch, we hit 1M organic plays across 3,000 user-generated games built on playabl.ai

Before Playabl, we built modding tools for AAA games that generated $1.3M with zero marketing spend, powering content that reached 5B+ views.

This showed us what UGC in gaming can do when creators have the right tools. Roblox proved this at internet scale, but the number of people who can actually create on Roblox is still a tiny fraction of the number of people who play.

We think AI changes that.

For the last 6 months, we've been building our own AI-native game engine. More than 100k users tested our beta, and that helped us understand the real opportunity, that the engine alone is not the product. The engine is the foundation that makes instant game creation possible.

So… we built the engine first. Now we're building the consumer layer on top: TikTok-style feed where every scroll is a game you can instantly play, remix, and republish.

The reason we chose this direction came from watching what our users were actually building.

We saw three things users building:

  1. Hybrid-casual games (one of the strongest genres in mobile gaming, and it’s different from “hyper-casual games”)  
  2. Brainrot-style games, the kind of meme-native content driving some of the most viral games on Roblox. 
  3. They were creating playable links, sharing them on social media, and treating games like content.

So we took the best of both (Roblox + TikTok) and built Playabl.ai

Under the hood

Playabl does not try to generate an entire game in one shot. First, the agent turns the user’s idea into a structured game design. Then, our engine programmatically translates that design into reusable game components like movement, enemies, rules, scoring, missions, levels, dialogue, and UI. Finally, the agent connects those components into a playable game. This gives users the simplicity of describing an idea, while Playabl keeps the process structured enough to produce reliable, modular, and actually playable results.

Why now?

Roblox showed that UGC games can become a massive platform, but creation still requires time, tools, and skill. AI changes that by making game creation feel as easy as posting a video on TikTok. We believe that giving people the right tools will allow them to build games that are wilder than anything we would have built ourselves!
